We were very happy and excited to find that CJSR, the University of Alberta's campus radio station has been giving our new album lots of airplay this past week - so much so that we reached number 3 on their chart this week!
Thank you CJSR and all the hosts who chose to play us!
We are proud to finally announce the official release of our second album, "Space & Sound". We will be celebrating by playing a free show on December 30 at the Whitemud Crossing Library Theatre (details below). The venue is really nice, with movie-theatre style seating. We will be performing the entire album from start to finish (and maybe a couple of other songs afterwards). As well, we will have our new CD for sale and some brand new posters and magnets featuring the cover painting.
Details: Everyone is welcome. Where: Whitemud Crossing Library Theatre, 4211 106 St (walking distance from the Southgate LRT station) When: Thursday, December 30th at 5:00pm (ending at 6:00pm) Cost: FREE
Note the *early start time*. The music will start at 5:00 sharp, and *will* end around 6:00, so don't be late!
And remember you can listen to the new album (and the old one too) as much as you want at: http://themartingales.ca

If you are in Edmonton, we will be having an advance listening party for it on Thursday, September 2 at 8:30, at Remedy Cafe (109 St, across from Garneau Theatre), in the upstairs part. Everyone is welcome to come and listen to the entire album with us!
In February we recorded our second album with Jeff Olson at Phoneticsound. It is now in the final mixing stages. We're very excited about this album, as it is a step above the first album. We have done lots with the arrangements and production. If the first album was black and white, this album is full colour. And you will be able to hear it soon! Stay tuned for updates.
